  • Basic service: once a year, by a competent person.
  • Extended service: every 5 years for water, foam, wet chemical and powder extinguishers.
  • CO2 overhaul: every 10 years, with a hydraulic pressure test.
  • Between services, the Responsible Person checks each extinguisher by eye every month.

Servicing follows the maker's instructions as well as BS 5306-3. Keep the service record with the extinguisher.
